The Beans.
The beans come to us from the Coopade Cooperative in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This group, which is made of over 4500 smallholders (1700 of them women!) operates 16 washing stations. Of these, 6 of them (including Vughole where these beans were processed) are operated by women. In a mostly male dominated field, the women of DR Congo are being celebrated by cooperatives like this one and we are proud to be a part of their efforts. Grown at an altitude of 1900-2100 masl in the northern region of Kivu.
The Process.
Wet/Washed
The Notes.
We taste notes of raisins and dark chocolate.
Please remember:
We roast to order, which means that your beans will be ready approximately 2-3 days AFTER your order was placed and will ship at that time.
