The Beans.
These beans come to us from the Bugoye community in the region of Kadases, Uganda. Despite being dependent on coffee as a main cash crop, the farmers in this area have long been undervalued for their seemingly lower quality beans. Because of recently established receiving stations, farmers are able to earn nearly double the money for beans that had previously been considered unworthy of time and effort because of their inconsistent size. We are honored to be a part of that process. Please keep in mind that unevenly sized and textured coffee beans has nothing to do with taste and the industry has kept beans like these from our cups for far too long. Appearances are not always an indicator of quality. Grown in the Rwenzori Mountains at 1300-1900masl.
